Where to Buy Girls Dance Clothes?
Recently I have been looking into local dance classes, location, times and cost. One thing I am so looking forward to is seeing my little girl in her dancing attire, but where can you buy dance clothes? AlexandAlexa have a lovely selection of dance clothes, let me show what I have my eye on...
BLOCH Pink Short Sleeved Leotard - £11.00
BLOCH Pink Crossover Skirt - £11.00
FREDDY Pink Dance Tights - £10.00
BLOCH Pink Wrap Bolero - £12.00
Oh no,I've just spotted that they do the above clothes in lilac too; does a girl need both pink and lilac?
Do you children partake in activities you wished you could have done when you were their age??

Where to buy dancewear/swimwear FABRICS?2008-03-12 15:21:44 by dayna_in_pleasanton
Can anyone recommend a fabric store-- not JoAnnes because I have already been there and they don't have a very interesting selection. I am looking specifically for stretch fabrics, the kind that are used to make dance costumes, swimsuits and ice-skating costumes. JoAnns had some decent solid colors but I am looking more for patterns like zebra, leopard, retro style, etc. I live in the east bay so hoping to find a place locally without having to trek into the city. Thanks in advance if you can help me out.
I agree it looks like chainette fringe2007-07-06 00:15:59 by VickiSF
Except the chainette usually have the row of stitching at the bottom that is pulled out after you are finished sewing your item together. I have seen chainette longer than 6" on dance costumes and evening wear with a 20s flair, but even then I don't think I have seen anything over about 10 or 12". I have never seen it for sale by the yard that wide. I searched in all of the dancewear companies I...showing here, though. If you do not want to buy the grass skirts already made (they are available everywhere and very cheap) and you cannot find fabric by the yard, buy a table skirt, which is basically just a really long piece of yardage!
The only way I can think of to achieve this look is to use yarn and make your own fringe! That is a lot of work for a costume you might only wear once!
